Samsung Galaxy S22 owners have encountered a bug in the adaptive screen refresh rate
Samsung Galaxy S22 users have encountered an issue where the screen refresh rate drops while watching movies, reports Sammobile. Because of this, the video freezes and becomes choppy.
It is noted that the bug is observed when activating the adaptive refresh rate in applications such as Amazon Prime and Netflix . For example, the Galaxy S22's adaptive refresh rate system does not recognize any on-screen activity when starting a video stream and switches to a lower frequency to save battery power.
The adaptive refresh rate in Galaxy S22 series smartphones resets the refresh rate when the display is on and there is no activity, such as reading a book or viewing a photo. When watching movies, the screen operates at 30 or 60 Hz, depending on the number of frames in the video.
The bug, judging by the relatively small number of complaints on the Samsung forums, is not widespread. The Sammobile editors were unable to confirm the error in the Galaxy S22 samples on hand.
Samsung is expected to fix the bug in one of the next software updates.
Earlier, said that some users were dissatisfied with the build quality of the Phone, as their smartphones were “falling apart”.
