The Toyota C-HR crossover will get two new versions on the home market: G Mode-Nero Safety Pius III and GT Mode-Nero Safety Pius III. They focus both on safety. Car scoops reported this on August 8.
According to the publication, the most accessible of the two new models will be the C-HR GT "Mode-Nero Safety Pius III". Its price is from 2,725,000 yen ($20,119). It equipped this variant with a 1.2-liter gasoline engine. It offered the model with both fronts- and all-wheel drive.
In addition, Toyota has equipped the car with unique 18-inch wheels painted in matte black.
The Toyota C-HR G Mode-Nero Safety Pius III has the same visual and interior upgrades as the GT model but will become a bit more expensive, with pricing starting at 3,055,000 yen ($22,555). This car has a more powerful 1.8-liter engine, combined with an electric motor.
The main thing is that both versions have new safety systems, for example, such as a collision mitigation system. It is activated at the moment when the driver presses the gas pedal too hard, and the crossover detects a stationary object in front of him.
Toyota also said it has installed a radar system in the model that detects vehicles approaching from the left and right of the car.
On August 2, Toyota Motor suspended orders for the Land Cruiser 70, which the company has been producing almost unchanged since 1984. Waiting for an SUV at dealers reaches from 3 to 14 months, depending on the modification and configuration.
