Google has announced that Android 13, the biggest update of the year, is coming to Google Pixel smartphones. The new OS is available earlier than usual - Android 12 was released in October last year, and Android 11 in September 2020.
Google originally planned to release Android 13 along with the September 1, 2022 security patch. However, a month after the final beta version of the updated Android, the company releases the released version of the OS.
What Google is paying attention to in Android 13: the ability to customize the icons of third-party applications in the style of the wallpaper; new permissions for notifications; option to restrict access to photos and videos for a specific application.
There are also language settings for each application; an updated media player that customizes the look depending on what you're listening to; added support for Bluetooth Low Energy; improved multitasking for large device screens.
