Samsung's 55-inch Odyssey Ark Massive 3 in 1 Gaming Monitors to a whole new dimension

Samsung's 55-inch Odyssey Ark is even bigger than Samsung’s previous Neo G9

After announcing the product in January at CES, Samsung has finally shared a release date and price for its huge 55-inch curved gaming monitor: the Odyssey Ark, which is going to be released in early September for a hefty retail price of $3,499.

Samsung has previously tested the limits of displays with displays like the Odyssey Neo G9, but now the company is pushing the limits even further with the absolutely massive and wild 55-inch Odyssey Ark "flexible" display.

The Odyssey Ark features a 16:9 4K panel with a stand that supports pan, tilt and rotation. Samsung has also confirmed that the Odyssey Ark can be wall mounted with a VESA mount.

The Ark is Samsung’s next-generation gaming monitor with a 16:9 display that can be used horizontally or vertically. The monitor’s “multi-view” feature uses adjustable screen sizes to watch movies, play games, or whatever else you need to do.

The specs for this Samsung release aren’t high, so it’s unclear if the curved display is actually “flexible” or just based on a bendable panel to support a curved design that looks like a 1000R.

The monitor also includes four HDMI 2.1 ports, which means this monitor is ideal for those with a PS5, Xbox Series X/S and/or Nvidia RTX 30 graphics card.

Besides the display, the Odyssey Ark also has a dial that can control various features on the monitor, such as screen size, ratio, and game settings.

Odyssey Ark also includes some other cool gaming-focused bits you wouldn’t expect from a monitor, such as a Neural Quantum Ultra processor and Samsung’s built-in Game Hub support, letting you access to cloud gaming services, such as Xbox Cloud Gaming and Nvidia GeForce now.

Ark clearly blurs the lines between gaming monitor size and full-screen TV, but it has some neat specific-gaming features. The height-adjustable stand swivels to a vertical orientation for a “cockpit-like” gaming experience in both landscape and portrait modes. The monitor also comes with a wireless controller with a dedicated scroll wheel for adjusting the monitor’s brightness and image quality, or navigating the Ark’s on-screen interface.

Odyssey Ark, can do the job of three monitors and the 16:9 aspect ratio offered plenty of scope for gaming and multitasking.
